Saiko-Komon: Core Contributors in ZKX
Chapter 2: Chance Encounters
If you have a taste of what’s to come, you can imagine the next steps.
We walked you through the early life of Keisuke, who, in 2039, made a discovery that changed everything: The government had lost some nodes, and there was still a way to gain access to the Ethereum chain again. But Keisuke knew that to succeed, he would need to reinvent himself and become The Oyabun.
The next step for the Oyabun was to find allies who could help him navigate the dangerous terrain of this high-stakes world of power and corruption.
This brings us to our next character, a former core member of the crypto community forced into exile by the ruthless crackdown of the government, The Saiko-Komon.
The Saiko-Komons’ had known a different life before the 2029 Ape crisis. A life of adventure and exploration, traveling the world and experiencing new technologies that promised a free and open world. They had even been lucky enough to work with Vitalik on ‘The Merge,’ a project that now seemed like a distant memory.
But after the government’s brutal crackdown, they had been hunted like wolves and forced into hiding. Nearly a decade had passed since they had last seen their comrades, and they had given up hope of ever finding them again.
That was until 2042, when they came across Hatsunode and started shadowing people online, searching for any sign of life.
Meanwhile, the Oyabun had been working tirelessly on bringing his plan to fruition. Decoding data from Project E had been challenging, and he had encountered more than a few hurdles. In a last-ditch effort, he decided to reach out to the old degens through a list he had made, leaving cryptic clues with a phrase and coordinates to ensure that nobody from the government would find out.
Saiko Komons’, who had been shadowing people on Hatsunode, got a message from an account called Oyabun saying, ‘chains will be broken, and everyone will hold one piece’ along with the coordinates of an unknown place.
They had no idea who this person was, but they were curious about who was sending them the messages. Not all of the Saiko Komons’ made it, but those who did came across a seedy bar with a sign behind it named Beacon. When they arrived, there was nobody there except for an old laptop.
They couldn’t shake the feeling that they were being watched as they approached the laptop. They opened the laptop and found a message — “When I came up with Ethereum, my first thought was…”- Another incomplete phrase.
Only the old degens who remember the lost world would be able to complete the phrase. Once completed, they would be able to access data which opens a decoded file under Project E and gives them access with a note on The Oyabun’s plan to find the lost nodes of the Ethereum chain.
They were to find the lost nodes — and bring back the decentralized world.
Do you think they will join him?
Pathway to become a Core Contributor in ZKX DAO`
At ZKX, we’re building the first perpetual futures exchange on StarkNet with self-custody and true community governance. We’re constantly challenging ourselves to address some of the core problems in DeFi and are proud to be creating new fundamentals for the ecosystem.
Over the last year, we have grown organically in the ecosystem due to support from our community. As part of becoming a DAO, our goal is to build a community of like-minded individuals committed to shaping our protocol’s future.
The first step on the path to becoming a Core Contributor at ZKX is through DAO bounties.
1. Our DAO bounties will be live on 13th Feb on a secret platform.
2. Completing a Bounty will grant you the role of ‘DAO Apprentice’ in the ZKX Discord and access to DAO dedicated channels.
3. DAO Apprentices will work directly with the Core Contributors in the dedicated channels.
4. The top apprentices will book their place amongst the Core Contributors and reap NFTs and other exclusive rewards.
If you haven’t read the first blog, The Oyabun, give it a read here.
